As many of you know, I live in Chile. February is the time for summer vacation in Chile. February is also the month that Venezuelans who live back home choose to go crazy and throw coups, marches, guarimbas and epic looting sprees.
That makes my life somewhat difficult.
So, for the next few weeks, Caracas Chronicles will continue, but posting will be somewhat on the light side – unless all hell breaks loose … which it probably will … right smack in the middle of my vacation.
In the meantime, I’ll be in Ann Arbor, Miami, and Orlando. If you’d like to have coffee at Espresso Royale or cachitos or arepas at El Arepazo or Don Pan (I’ve never been, and I’m looking forward to going), send me a line at nageljuan at gmail. I always enjoy meeting readers.
Well,enjoy your holidays….
The country might surprise us all and remain in calm for the next 4 weeks; althoug we all know that is very unlikely.
Reminds me Quico’s retirement attempts last year…

Ah, nice break — well deserved. But you’re not off the hook. We look forward to the gastronomic reviews in the coming weeks.

Enjoy your vacation Nagel!, there’s no fair way to enjoy the scorching sun of Santiago´s clear sky other than going out.
Since i´m a salao, my vacation time will arrive at winter.

Happy travels! Skip Don Pan. Try Doggies or La Latina in Miami.
